Making Memories with Marigold is committed to making my website accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or the technology they use. I believe that everyone should be able to find information about my services and get in touch with me easily.

Standards I aim for

This website has been designed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 in mind, aiming for Level AA compliance. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more user friendly for everyone.

What I have done

Descriptive alt text on all images across the site.
Semantic HTML headings (H1, H2, H3) to structure content logically.
Keyboard-navigable menus and interactive elements.
Sufficient colour contrast between text and background (black and gold palette).
Responsive layout that adapts to mobile phones, tablets, and desktop screens.
Form labels and accessible input fields on my enquiry form.
Lazy loading on images for better performance.
A cookie consent banner that can be dismissed via keyboard or mouse.

Known limitations

While I strive for full accessibility, some areas of the site rely on third-party services that I have limited control over:

My enquiry form is embedded via a third-party provider. While I have configured it to be as accessible as possible, some aspects of its internal behaviour are outside my direct control.
Older PDF documents or external links may not yet meet current accessibility standards. If you encounter an issue, please let me know and I will provide the information in an alternative format.

Making Memories with Marigold is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This site has been tested across a range of browsers including Google Chrome, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox, on both desktop and mobile devices. I have also reviewed the site using screen reader software (VoiceOver and NVDA) to verify that content is announced in a logical order.

How I tested

I evaluated the site using a combination of automated accessibility checking tools and manual review. This included keyboard-only navigation testing, colour contrast analysis, and verification that all images have appropriate text alternatives.
